ONE of South Africa’s leading banks, First National Bank (FNB) has urged millions of customers to validate their Internet banking profiles in order to safeguard their money.
FNB has embarked on upgrading their national head office server aimed at keeping its Internet banking clients well protected during the entire upgrading process.
FNB says the online and server upgrading, which commenced on Thursday would go on until Saturday 11 June 2011.
“Dear FNB Customers, as part of our ongoing commitment to provide the Best Possible service and protection to all our customers, FNB will be carrying out a systematic upgrade to our network server from 7am Friday to 5am (Saturday) tomorrow morning.
“We require every member to validate their Internet Banking Profile using our safe SSL servers. You are required to adhere to this as soon as possible,” FNB online banking users statement.
FNB advised all its customers to adhere strictly to this feature to avoid future service denial.
The bank believes the upgrade is necessary in order to keep online clients safe from various scams.
